This is my favourite intro

You have probably already noticed, but on a blade like a Feather, there are little lines drawn on the edge tabs, tabs which protrude from the sides of the razor cap, so you know which blade edge of the razor you are using. This is so you do not use one blade edge too many times and the other blade edge not enough times. On one side of the edge tab there will one line, and on the other side there will be two lines. Some razor blades have numbers, 1,2,3 and 4, in the same place to indicate which side and which blade edge, &c. I shaved with double-edge razor blades for years before I noticed this feature.

How in the hell would you even use this and it looks so uncomfortable for the hand.... Don't you know how to use a straight blade?

Wish I knew this before I just shaved against the grain the first time around lol. Against the grain is effective but left me with so many cuts and bumps.

Is it curved the wrong way to do the other side of your face?

This would be an excellent travel companion without being a full razor. Very inventive and different, and it seems to be good for use as an alternative razor.

Hey Geo, I found the R41 a little too harsh for my skin, the R89 is sweet as is the merkur 23c but the nicest I've found is the dovo primo 1 with the german made blades. It's personal preference right?!!! 😅

I always tend to use a safety razor for a shave then a straight razor to go against the grain to give the side burns a laser edge. Can you go against the grain with this tool on the side burn?

Nice demonstration! I've seen these before, but had no idea how they're supposed to be used.

I do things different. With blades that I know to be a bit rough on first use I put them in the razor and using the inside of my forearm as a "strop" use the opposite motion to shaving, that is I set the razor on the skin at the shaving angle then move it backwards away from the edge rather than in the cutting direction of the edge. Repeat 3 or 4 times to wear the coatings a little but without putting any kind of wear on the edge. Works for me but could also just be my imagination...

Thanks for the video. I have been using Gillette cartridge razors (the likes of Gillette proglide razor) for over a decade but recently become aware of the merits of safety razors (closer shaves, less irritation, more economical, less ingrown hairs, more eco friendly, etc). I was considering getting Gillette proglide power (never used the power variant) but now am also considering getting a safety razor. I am thinking of purchasing a safety razor to try it out. Since I'm new to safety razors, which safety razor would you recommend? Also found there's single edge safety razor and double edge safety razor, what might you recommend to a newbie?

I have the gold Twig which for me has provided a very comfortable and very mild 3 pass almost (key word) BBS shave using a feather. After watching the video, got the purple Thorn (so I wouldn’t confuse the 2. :). ). Arrived today (Fast delivery, as always from Geo ). There was more feedback than the Twig, still using a feather and got a closer BBS shave than with the Twig. It’s still for me on the mild side, just a bit more aggressive than the Twig. Feels great!

Today after shaving i used this homemade product my sister made. Its peppermint oil, aloe vera and some other things i dont know but i used it as a post shave gel and my skin became smooth and supple it worked nearly like a professional barber's after shave gel.

Same here. My local barber used a same type of after shave gel/cream for my face.

I don’t own one. But here’s my opinion. They are sold in grocery stores to captivate the fast growing safety and “wet shave” movement. I imagine it to be an extremely mild razor, and one where the finish is not everlasting.

Hi Geo .l love Arko l just grate it with a cheese grater,and puch it down into my shaving mug. Works great .

This goes smooth even after 2 weeks of hair growth in my experience. I think it works best *dry* on hair 1-2 weeks old, and the trimmer settings is obviously a plus. You can use a few precise, gentle strokes against the grain to get a really close shave, even without trimmer attachments. For hair that is 3 days old and less it doesn't work as well, so if you need to shave every day/every other day for work then go with the braun series 9/phillips 9000. These aren't so good for persistent hairs so you can do the finishing touches with the oneblade, but remember to clean the shaver after use and to use gentle strokes - even with an electric razor - to prevent ingrown hairs and irritation.

If I do not use navigation in car I will bring it home . Can I connect it to home WiFi to use as spotify player? Or, if not, to connect my mobile phone to WiFi and carpuride w103 by bluetooth to phone and listen spotify from multimedia?

Have been shaving with a safety razor for a couple of decades ( a score) and I enjoy it better than cartridge razors.n I have tried a straight razor a few times only to require a blood transfusion each time. I have not given up on the straight razor but my face needs time to recoup. I have purchased a few more safety razors ( open/closed comb and adjustable). Do you have a recommendation as to how I should test (sorry, I am an engineer and like to test) each type of razor along with the numerous blades available?

In my opinion - this razor is crap. I tried different blades with the same ugly result. I put it into the trash bin after demolishing it with my hammer. This razor deserved it because the man who created it was drunk. I should believe to Russian blogger ... Then I got a Wilkinson sword Razor and It was amazing!!!!

Having had to glue the magnets back in(lucky to have found it) in a Leaf razor. This razor looks unusable without magnet. Good looking razor though I'll pass till proven reliable.
